What brought you to Spain and how long have you been living on Costa del Sol?

I moved to Spain the first time in 1993 to study Spanish at Malaga University. After that I enrolled in a prestigious Hotel School and travelled in Europe for a while, until I came back to Spain again in 1999 to join a large Real Estate company in Puerto Banus, Costa del Sol. It was at the height of the millenium boom and I certainly learned a lot and founded my basic knowledge and main strategies of how to best apply my personality to the industry.
After having two children I decided to spend a few years in Sweden, however we came back to the Costa del Sol in 2012 and I now regard Fuengirola as my home town.

Where are you from and how many languages do you speak?

I am originally from a small village with a beautiful lake just outside Gothenburg on the west coast of Sweden. I communicate in Swedish, English and Spanish both verbally and in writing and I am also able to understand and speak German.

Tell us why you love working in real estate

Selling property to Scandinavians and other nationalities on the Costa del Sol is a  joy for me. It's not just about transactions; it's about facilitating dreams and lifestyles. Scandinavians, for instance, often seek the perfect blend of nature, culture, and a relaxed atmosphere—a combination that the Costa del Sol embodies. The privilege of introducing them to stunning properties with breathtaking views, excellent amenities, and a vibrant community perfectly aligns with their desires.
Each client brings a distinct set of preferences, traditions, and expectations, allowing me to tailor the property search to their specific needs. Moreover, being a part of their journey to finding a new home in an unfamiliar place is incredibly fulfilling. The satisfaction of helping them navigate the process, overcome language or cultural barriers, and witness their excitement as they discover their ideal property is what makes this role on the Costa del Sol so rewarding. It's more than just selling property; it's about creating a bridge between cultures and fostering a sense of belonging in this beautiful corner of the world.

What kind of certificates and legal documents regarding real estate do you have?

During Covid I decided to further my knowledge within Real Estate and Human Resources, so I took an online course in accounting, labour laws and tax implications which gave me 4 university credits.

I also have
La fiscalidad en el negocio inmobiliario. Accounting / fiscal knowledge of the real estate business.
Curso presencial de Derecho Profesional Inmobiliario: Curso presencial de Derecho Profesional Inmobiliario / Professional Real Estate Law
