Established in 1983, La Canasta is a local firm which has grown into a small chain of bakery stores throughout the province of Malaga. In La Cala, the store also consists of a cafeteria. Here you can sample any of their home-made cakes, pastries and breads in store. As well as buying to take away. It is a popular spot for parents to sit and have a chat whilst the kids play in the park.

They prepare and bake most of their produce in store and some is supplied via their main bakery in Malaga. As well as a large range of fresh breads and pastries, La Canasta also sell a wide range of canapes, petit fours, home-made sweets, chocolates and bom boms.
